Ann Arbor Amateur Hockey Association

AAAHA has operated youth hockey programs since its founding in 1951 and is committed to providing instructional and competitive hockey opportunities, for all players without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, or national origin. AAAHA seeks to develop character, sportsmanship, and physical fitness among the youth in the local community by providing an environment that fosters a positive learning experience, teamwork, and friendship. AAAHA affiliates with USA Hockey, MAHA and other ice hockey associations to promote, encourage and improve the standard of hockey.

Cell Phone Policy

Starting with the 2010/2011 season, cell phones are not allowed in any locker room. With most kids having cell phones with cameras, there is a risk of inappropriate photos being taken and possibly being posted on the web.  Hopefully, by keeping the phones out of the locker rooms, this can be avoided. It is suggested that Associations prohibit any device that has a camera in the locker room.  Options: leave cell phones with parents,  assign a parent to collect any cell phones that are brought into the rink and hold them until the end of game/practice, or, get a small bag and collect the cell phones as the players enter the locker room.
