Welcome to the Ann Arbor Amateur Hockey Association

AAAHA has operated youth hockey programs since its founding in 1951 and is committed to providing instructional and competitive hockey opportunities, for all players without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, or national origin. AAAHA seeks to develop character, sportsmanship, and physical fitness among the youth in the local community by providing an environment that fosters a positive learning experience, teamwork, and friendship. AAAHA affiliates with USA Hockey, MAHA and other ice hockey associations to promote, encourage and improve the standard of hockey. 



PROGRAM COSTS AND SCHEDULES

Reminder- AAAHA is run primarily by volunteers. Our Ice Scheduler and Treasurer are volunteer positions. 

The program costs and program schedules will be posted on the website when they become available. Typically, early August. 

 

AAAHA Fall/Winter Registration is Open!

Tim bits (4-6)

Mini Mites (4-8)

Learn To Play (9-13)

House:

Mites (6-8)

Squirts 10U (Little Caesars Hockey League)

Pee Wees 12U (Little Caesars Hockey League)

Bantams   14U (Little Caesars Hockey League)

Midgets   16U (Little Caesars Hockey League)

Girls:

10U - Tier III

12U - Tier II and Tier III

14/16U - Tier II and Tier III

19U - Tier II

Travel:

02- Wolverines

03- Wolverines, 03 Wolves

04- Wolves

05- Wolverines, 05 Wolves

06- Wolverines

07- Wolverines

New Board Members, New Board Positions!

Congratulations to Pam Gibson on her recent appointment as AAAHA President! Pam brings 12 years of youth hockey administration experience to her new role. Pam has been actively involved with AAAHA in many different roles, including, AAAHA Registrar, Vice President, Board Member, Team Manager, Assistant Coach, Hockey Weekend volunteer, and Girl's and House program volunteer.

Pam and her husband Brian live in Ann Arbor and have 2 children involved with AAAHA.

Parents!! Questions about paperwork? Questions about becoming a Team Manager?

We would like to welcome Shawn Schaefer to the AAAHA Board of Directors. Shawn will be assisting the Instructional, House and Travel programs with paperwork questions, collection, etc.

If you have any questions about your child's paperwork, please contact Shawn.

Also, Shawn will be training and assisting Team Manager's. If you are interested in volunteering to be a manager for your child's team, or, you are a current team manager with questions, please contact Shawn Schaefer!

AAAHA Continues with Keil Power Skating For 2016-2017 Season

AAAHA is pleased to announce the continued relationship with Keil Power Skating for the upcoming 2016/2017 season!

Carrie Keil and Keil Power Skating bring 34 years of power skating experience to all AAAHA House, Travel, Instructional, and Girls Programs.

You may be familiar with Carrie as the Power Skating Coach for the USA Hockey NTDP, and the popular "Skating Treadmill". 

We are pleased that Carrie offers her team of professionals to help out the members of AAAHA at all skating levels.



New to ice hockey??

Proceed to the Instructional tab near the top of this page to find the skill and age-appropriate choice for your child's introduction to ice hockey.

All of our instructional programs welcome both girls and boys. Two sessions of Timbits and Learn-To-Play Hockey are offered, one beginning in October, the other in January. The Mini-Mite program begins in October and ends in mid March.
